Thanks for the advice on "fake meats" Jen!! I'll watch out for filler ingredients! I'm with you on the soda front ... even though I'm considering a vegan diet it doesn't mean I'll be able to stay away from Coke Zero!!
The book I read was mostly nutritional science and not a diet book. It describes the physiology of a plant-based vs. animal based proteins and the effects on diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. It is so eye opening! I'll write an article about it as soon as I'm done.
